What are these 'natural allergens' on your label?Updated 3 months ago

Natural allergens are compounds found in botanical extracts, essential oils, and other plant-derived ingredients that may trigger allergic reactions in some individuals. These allergens occur naturally in ingredients like lavender oil, citrus extracts, and certain floral or herbal extracts.

Under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), the FDA now requires cosmetic brands to disclose the presence of fragrance allergens, including naturally occurring ones, on product labels. This ensures greater transparency and helps consumers—especially those with sensitivities—make informed choices.

If you have known allergies, we recommend checking the ingredient list and performing a patch test before use.
